Why should I study Fundamental Herbology?
Herbal medicine is the oldest and most widespread medicine created by Nature and utilised by both mankind and animals worldwide.
In just 12 lessons, you will discover how the major systems of your body work; how they can fail or be compromised through lifestyle choices and the environment and why the powerful properties of herbs can play a role to combat disease and help to maintain a healthy body.

The Fundamental Herbology course has been designed to suit anyone, regardless of age or academic ability.
To make the assessment process as simple as possible for you, a complete set of questions with multiple-choice answers are included with every lesson.
Can I start at any time?
Yes, you can start at any time and from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
What books do I need to study Fundamental Herbology?
All study material to complete the course is supplied by The Australian School of Herbal Medicine (ASOHM) within the 12 lessons. However, there are several books available for purchase, if you would like further reading (refer to the Books tab).
Can I still do the course but not pay online?
Yes, although ASOHM is a secure site, you can phone the office with your Visa or Mastercard details (08 8396 4358) or click on the link to print and mail/fax order form from here.
Can I receive the printed lessons in the mail?
Yes – providing you live in Australia. Regardless of where you live, if studying online, you will need to print the lessons to keep for future reference.
Please note: printed material will take longer via Australia Post for you to receive and return your completed question sheets to the school for marking.
Can I study the course on-campus?
No, there are no on-site options. All lessons are done online or via correspondence.
What qualifications do I have at the end of the course?
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of Fundamental Herbology to honour your achievement and should you wish to become a professional, information about accredited diploma courses
